Makes about 3 cups
  • 2 pints blueberries
  • ¼ cup lemon or lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Mix the juice, cornstarch, sugar and salt in a medium saucepan. Add berries and cook over medium heat until the berries release their juices and the sauce thickens (should just be a few minutes). Serve over ice cream, pound cake or pancakes. For something different add 1 teaspoon to lavender blossoms in with the berries.
