Reinink Family Farms, operated by Hank-John and Janet Reinink, is located on the western shore of Varty Lake, 40 minutes northwest of Kingston. They produce organic eggs on the farm where Hank-John was born and raised.
In a world with larger and larger poultry farms, they have found a niche market in supplying fresh eggs to discerning customers who care about where their food comes from and the conditions in which it is produced. Their chickens are happy chickens, producing EcoCert certified organic eggs in a roomy, free range environment. They have been vendors at the Kingston Public Market for 17 years, building a loyal clientele. Reinink Family Farms also supplies some of Kingston's finest restaurants with eggs, including Pan Chancho, Olivea, Chez Piggy, Le Chien Noir, and Pasta Genova.
Their eggs are produced by, graded by, and sold by Reinink Family Farms. They are proud to be farmers involved in each step of bringing fresh eggs to your table: they grow the day old chicks to maturity, raise the chickens throughout their egg laying career, grade the eggs in their CFIA registered grading station, and personally sell the eggs directly to their customers. In addition to the chickens, they also operate an organic market garden, specializing in French filet beans and spinach. They are passionate about the Kingston Public Market, and believe it to be the logical choice for local residents to purchase their food needs from local farmers.
